Carolyn Kenady
CAROLYN KENADY is a community leader working to address civic issues in her neighborhood and in the City. She has organized and spoken out on issues relating to land use, community safety, and homelessness. In March 2020, Carolyn helped form RescueSF to bring residents’ voices into the public dialog on homelessness. As a RescueSF leader, Carolyn has lobbied for the pilot of the safe sleeping sites that opened during the pandemic. She organized public support for mental health services for the unhoused, and she advocated for more funding for behavioral health programs. Most recently, Carolyn educated and engaged residents to support “A Place for All,” proposed city legislation that would create a policy and a plan to provide shelter to all those on the streets willing to accept it. Carolyn has previously worked as an advocate for women’s employment rights and healthcare for low-income families. Carolyn currently serves as the Chair of the Dolores Heights Improvement Club. Earlier in her career, Carolyn held senior HR roles at Yelp, Cisco, and Towers Perrin. Carolyn holds a B.A. from Yale and an M.P.P. from the University of Chicago
